Things have been “shaping up” at Sherrill Park Golf Course this week, as tee shaping began at Course 2 and sod removal from the course’s tees and greens continues, along with irrigation gate valve replacement. The work is part of an update for Course 2, which was last renovated in 2001. Renovations will include fixing drainage issues and improving the course’s playability, aesthetics, and turf.

Play remains open on Course 1, which hosted a North Texas PGA Players Tour event this week, featuring 60 professional and amateur golfers including former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
