After a public hearing at Monday’s City Council meeting, the Richardson City Council approved a zoning change for 16.4 acres located at the northeast corner of North Glenville Drive and East Lookout Drive, changing the property’s zoning from Industrial to Planned Development to accommodate a 590-unit, mixed residential community. It will be comprised of townhomes, apartments, live-work units and an independent living facility, and will include co-working space for residents, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and be well-connected to the City’s trail system, with new trail segments planned along Lookout and Glenville drives. The City Plan Commission recommended approval of the zoning change at its Dec. 21 meeting.
