The City’s Tree Cycling and Holiday Box collection sites will be available just a few more days, through Wednesday, Feb. 1.

Natural, undecorated and unflocked trees may be dropped off at the Municipal Service Center, 1260 Columbia Dr., and will be turned into mulch and compost to help beautify city parks and landscapes and sold to residents at a discount. Year-round, trees may also be set out at the curb and picked up as part of the City’s weekly Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC).

Large, flattened cardboard gift boxes (too big to fit into regular recycling bags) may be taken to special box recycling bins located at four sites around the city:

  • Custer Park – 700 W. Renner Rd. (near the tennis courts)
  • Recycle Center (available year-round) – 102 N. Cottonwood Dr.
  • 1500 Apollo Rd. (near the Huffhines Tennis Center courts)
  • Breckinridge Park – 5200 Park Vista Rd. (near the baseball complex)
