Early voting continues this week for the Nov. 3 General and Joint Election. Be prepared if you plan to head out early this week because the next couple of days will bring some soggy and cold weather with another cold front. The rest of today brings a chance of rain with some isolated storms possible for most of the day. Tuesday’s chances for rain are low to moderate at this point and Wednesday is looking to be a repeat of today.
If you plan to vote at the Richardson City Hall/Civic Center (411 W. Arapaho Rd.) you’ll want to prepare for the inclement weather. The following are suggestions to consider:
• Check the weather and dress/plan appropriately
• Vote at off-peak hours to avoid lines
• Bring a stool or other portable seating device
• Bring bottled water and snacks
• Bring a portable phone charger
• Wear your mask and social distance
The Richardson City Hall/Civic Center facility is one of more than 60 Dallas County early voting sites. You can visit www.cor.net/election to find links to other Dallas County locations or to also find Collin County early voting and Election Day locations.
If you live in Collin County, early voting is taking place at the Richardson Office Complex located at 2703 N. Central Expwy. (near the Palisades development). Registered voters can participate in early voting, rain or shine, through Oct. 30.
This week’s hours for both Dallas and Collin County early voting locations are 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Visit www.cor.net/vote for more information.
