The City’s 27th annual Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival opens tonight at 6 p.m. at Galatyn Park Urban Center and continues through Sunday, May 19.
Live performances on six stages, plus kids’ activities, an art guitar auction and strolling entertainment are all included in the price of daily admission, as well as access to numerous food/beverage vendors and the WF! Marketplace.
The management team for Good Charlotte announced this week that the band has canceled all its remaining performances scheduled in May, including the planned appearance for tonight at the Wildflower! Festival. Local band Bowling For Soup has been scheduled to perform tonight at 8:45 p.m. and Neon Trees will move to the 10:30 p.m. slot on the Plaza Stage.
Other confirmed headline acts for this weekend include Blue Oyster Cult, Grand Funk Railroad, RATT, Fitz and the Tantrums, The Jacksons, The Guess Who, and Judah & the Lion.
Discounted single-day tickets are available to City of Richardson residents until 5 p.m. tonight (Friday, May 17) for $12 with proof of residency (current City of Richardson water bill, utility bill, phone bill or a valid driver’s license with a Richardson address). Residents may purchase up to six discounted tickets per household at the following locations:
- Water Customer Service Department at City Hall, 411 W. Arapaho Rd., Suite 101
- Gymnastics Center, 300 E. Arapaho Rd.
- Huffhines Recreation Center, 200 N. Plano Rd.
- Heights Recreation Center, 711 W. Arapaho Rd.
- Senior Center, 820 W. Arapaho Rd. #100
Children ages 4 and under are admitted free, and
tickets for children ages 5-12 are $5 online or at the gate for both residents
