At Monday night’s meeting, the City Council heard an update on the renovations to Sherrill Park Course 2, which began in January and are expected to be finished in time for the course to reopen on Nov. 1.
Renovations include fixing drainage issues, including removing silt from ponds and improving drainage basins. Changes were also made to the course’s overall playability, aesthetics, and turf. The course was last renovated in 2001.
