RICHARDSON – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the Network of Community Ministries this week to celebrate its move into a brand-new location.  The Network’s headquarters is now at 1500 International Pkwy. in Richardson’s IQ.

The new facility allows Network the opportunity to expand services including food and clothing distribution, job search assistance and senior services.  Although the nonprofit plans to use 40,000 square feet of the new building, it also plans to lease the remaining 10,000 square feet to community partners. Richardson ISD will house its new Family Services Center and Methodist Richardson Medical Center will provide health care to Network clients.

“It’s humbling because its all of the many supporters, many partners coming together to celebrate. Now we can serve the community in a bigger and better way,” said Cindy Shafer, CEO of the Network of Community Ministries.
