The 2019 Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program Job Fair attracted more than one hundred students to Richardson City Hall/Civic Center as they interviewed with nearly 50 area employers.

This is the second year of the program.

The Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program enables incoming high school seniors to receive eight weeks of paid employment at local businesses, nonprofit and government agencies while gaining invaluable real-world experience and exposure to careers in which they’ve express an interest.

“They get an experience, a potential of what they want to pursue in their career pathway that really helps them solidify if this is what they want to pursue in the future,” said Tabitha Branum, deputy superintendent of Richardson ISD.
