RICHARDSON – There are several non-profit organizations in Richardson that work hard year-round offering those who are in need a helping hand, from food and clothing to rental assistance, school supplies, even toys.
The City of Richardson supports these community partners and their charitable activities by providing volunteer service connections and by helping bridge the gap for social needs.
“The partnership with Helping Agencies Serving Richardson (HASR) and Richardson is dynamic and very close. They want to partner with us, they don’t want to guide us and tell us what to do. They want to be there as a resource so, that we have everything that we need so that we can go out and fulfill our social missions,” said Neil Massey, vice-president of HASR.
Richardson’s community partners were some of the highlights at this year’s State of the City Address that featured organizations such as HASR, Network of Community Ministries, Altrusa International of Richardson, Inc., and the Richardson East Rotary Club.
