The City of Richardson has been awarded second place in the nation (among cities with populations from 100,000-300,000) for its 2023 National Night Out (NNO) event. The award, given by the National Association of Town Watch, recognizes community participation, law enforcement involvement, organization and quality of activities.
Richardson’s NNO is held annually on the first Tuesday of October, coordinated by the Richardson Police Department (RPD) Community Relations Unit. This year’s event included 129 resident block parties visited by more than 50 RPD officers along with firefighters, volunteers, City Officials and guests.
