Awards for last weekend’s “Parade of Misfit Toys,” Richardson’s 51st annual Christmas Parade, were presented before the opening of Santa’s Village. The top three specialty awards announced were:
- Mayor’s Award: Pioneer Technology Arts Academy Interact Club
- Grand Marshal’s Award: Adventure Guides Rainbow Hawks
- Chairman’s Elf Award: Cub Scout Pack 871

The parade included 50 entries and approximately 1,100 participants, who contributed more than 250 toys and almost $1,700 to Network of Community Ministries to assist families in the community over the holidays.
