A celebration luncheon was held Aug. 22 for the Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program (RMSIP), which is an initiative that provides an eight-week, paid internship to high school students who attend Richardson ISD or live in the City of Richardson.
A total of 45 internship partners and sponsors participated in this year’s program.
“This collaboration with the City, the Chamber of Commerce and RISD provides students the opportunity to connect to their future through real world experience,” said Sari McCoy, executive director, Career and Technical Education for RISD.
RMSIP provided students invaluable life-changing opportunities by immersing them in a professional workplace.
