The redevelopment of the Collins/Arapaho TOD and Innovation District recently unveiled the renaming/rebranding of the area during a special ceremony.

It will now be called the “Richardson Innovation Quarter,” or “The IQ” for short.

“We’re going to take our economic development strategy as a city and literally turn it upside down,” said Mayor Paul Voelker.

Thanks to the new name, logo and a new zoning code passed in December, the 1,200-acre area is better poised to encourage public and private investment and become more than just an industrial park.
