Richardson residents are invited to attend the Public Safety Expo taking place this Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Richardson Civic Center, Fountain Plaza located at 411 W. Arapaho Rd.

The annual expo is a free family friendly event for anyone interested in getting a closer look at police and fire operations as well as learning how to make their home and neighborhood safer.

“Building trust and relationships are some of the main points of the Expo, which gives residents an opportunity to ask questions and know they have a police department that supports the community,“ said Sgt. Frank Bradford of the Richardson Police Department.

The Public Safety Expo offers residents a chance for an up-close look at various vehicles used by first responders and see demonstrations by some of the operational units. New this year, children can bring bicycles to test their skills at the Bike Rodeo.

“Nat” the National Night Out Knight along with McGruff the Crime Dog will also be on hand.
