To assist with hazard mitigation planning, the City’s Office of Emergency Management is seeking public input through an online survey.

The survey will be used to gather information in identifying and analyzing natural hazards affecting residents and recommending possible actions that can be taken to reduce the impact of these hazards.

Richardson coordinates with neighboring Dallas County jurisdictions to update the Dallas County Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HazMAP) every five years, to reduce the hazard vulnerability of people and property in the planning area and to become eligible for mitigation funding programs from FEMA. The current version of the Dallas County HazMAP was adopted by Richardson City Council in 2016. To take the brief survey, click here.
