The turn lane from eastbound Renner Road to southbound Plano Road will be closed intermittently from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays through the end of May to allow for the delivery of the granite pieces that make up the Spring Creek Nature Area entry portals. Drivers will still be able to turn right onto Plano Road while the lane is closed, they will just not be able to use the turn lane to do so.
The two entry portals will be located along the newly constructed perimeter trail at the northeast and northwest corners of the Nature Area. The pieces are one of the first major initiatives to come from the Spring Creek Nature Area Master Plan developed and approved in 2015, which outlines ideas for development of the 56 additional acres acquired for the park in January 2015.
