RICHARDSON – The City of Richardson is offering people a different way to pay their water bill every month using electronic billing or “e-billing,” which is free, secure and convenient.

Currently, 36% of the City’s utility customers receive a paperless, online “e-bill.”  An increase in paperless billing would result in a cost savings in printing, preparation and postage, around $60,000 per year if the e-bill participation rate jumps to 70%.

The online option saves people a trip to the Water Customer Service Desk at City Hall, but customers must register to go paperless and have their statement sent via e-mail.  E-billing gives users the ability to visit the payment portal to view account information and make payments online.

As a reminder, by electing to begin e-billing, you will no longer receive a paper utility statement from the City of Richardson. Instead people will receive an e-mail.

For more information about e-billing please call 972-744-4120 or visit www.cor.net/waterbill.

While the community continues efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Water and Sewer Customer Service Department will be waving late fees and making payment arrangements to assist Customers.
