The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) is celebrating the start of planting season and the beauty of Texas native and adapted plants by hosting the 2nd annual “Pledge to Plant Smart” Photo Contest, through March 27. North Texans are encouraged to share an original photo of their favorite native or adapted plant in their garden, in the wild, at a park, or anywhere else.
NTMWD recommends using native and/or adapted flora suited to the North Texas region when planning a landscape. Native and adapted plants are recognized for their low maintenance and ability to significantly improve water efficiency.
To enter, upload your photo here and encourage your friends and family to vote online for their favorite.
