The fourth annual “Newcomers Guide to Gardening in North Texas” event was recently held at the McKinney ISD Community Event Center.

It was designed for those new to gardening and/or new to North Texas, and featured presentations and Q&As with local experts along with numerous vendors/information tables.

“Not only do we have up to a thousand people visit us during the ‘Newcomers Guide to Gardening in North Texas,’ we also free classes through out the year where we dig a little bit deeper on various topics,” said Daniel Cunningham, horticulturist with Texas A&M AgriLife Research/Water University.

The event was cosponsored by 15 public and private partners including the City of Richardson.
