Richardson residents don’t have to travel far this summer to view, for free, more than 140 original works of art by local artists. New art exhibits have recently been installed at City Hall, the Library, Heights Recreation Center and Huffhines Recreation Center featuring the work of members of the Richardson Civic Art Society.
The exhibits include:
- 17 paintings in the first floor main hallway of the City Hall/Civic Center through the end of September
- 76 works of art in the Library’s Third Floor Gallery through Aug. 20. Categories include Oil/Acrylics on Canvas or Hard Surface, Water Media on Paper, Collage/ Mixed Media, Pastels/Graphics and Photography/Digital Art.
- A solo show featuring 17 pastel and oil paintings by Janice Hamilton at Heights Recreation Center through Aug. 17
- 32 paintings at Huffhines Recreation Center throughout the summer
