Richardson nonprofit Network of Community Ministries unveiled its long-awaited refrigerated box truck Thursday, beginning a new Network program called Mobile Pantry. Through a partnership with RISD, the Mobile Pantry program will provide food, nutrition information and healthy recipes on a monthly basis at high need RISD schools, for qualifying students and their families. Network will also use the truck to pick up meat, produce, frozen foods and dry goods donations from selected retail partners, which would otherwise go unclaimed due to lack of transport services.

The new truck was made possible through generous donations from the Catholic Foundation, Richardson Rotary and 100 Women of Richardson. For more information about Network, visit www.thenetwork.org.
