Network of Community Ministries marked the beginning of renovations to its future headquarters with a groundbreaking ceremony March 30. Renovation plans for the expansive 45,000-square-foot, $5.5 million building, located at 1500 International Pkwy. in The IQ®, include creating designated areas for the nonprofit’s many programs including Seniors’ Net, the Food Pantry and the Family Clothing Center, as well as a community room where local organizations/groups can hold meetings and special events, and where Network clients can gather.

The new facility will more than triple the space of Network’s currently leased headquarters at 741 S. Sherman St. and will enable the organization to more effectively serve clients and meet the needs of the community. The pandemic as well as the aftermath of the October 2019 tornadoes have caused requests for services to increase dramatically.

Network plans to be moved in and fully operational by Labor Day.
