Trevor the Traveling Dog, a colorful, 10–foot-tall sculpture that proudly stood on top of the Library’s Children’s Area for almost two decades, was moved this week in preparation for renovations at the Library that are part of the voter-approved 2021 Bond Program. Renovation plans call for the large open space previously home to Trevor to be converted to additional floor space, providing room for expanded offerings and programming.

Trevor headed home with local artist Johnny Edwards, his creator, who plans to give Trevor a retouch before finding him a permanent home. Communications staff spoke with Edwards and Library staff this week in a new video about the beloved pup’s impact.
