The Richardson Police Department is teaming up with the Chick-Fil-A restaurant in City Line this Thursday, April 11th, for ‘Spirit Night,’ to help raise money for its Explorer Program, Post #761.

Between 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. a portion of each purchase at the restaurant will be donated to the Explorer Program to help raise funds for state competition and other events.

“The Explorer Program is for youth ages 14 to 21. It’s an opportunity for youth to get involved with law enforcement. Often times, they chose law enforcement as a career path and they learn everything a police officer does,“ said Sgt. Brian Alcorn, Richardson Police Department.

The Explorer Program is based on five areas of emphasis; career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education, and leadership experience.
