The Richardson Civic Art Society is a nonprofit organization that supports artists and projects that further the creative visual arts.

The group meets at the Richardson Public Library’s Basement Program Room on the third Tuesday of every month from September to May.

During each meeting, members talk about drawings and paintings with a focus on color, shapes and texture. Accomplished artists from around the region are also invited to every workshop to lead a demonstration that highlights their skills and artwork.

“I would like for artists to know that they have a place where they can gather with other artists, where they can learn, share their art work and ideas. I want them to know they are valuable members of the artistic community,” said Linda Clary, president of the Richardson Civic Art Society.

The meetings start at 6:30 p.m.
