
Water District Reports on New Projects, Long-term Plans, Cost Increases
Staff from the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) gave a comprehensive update to the City Council Monday, outlining the main focus areas of NTMWD (water supply, wastewater treatment, and solid waste) and discussing current and future projects as well as projected costs.

Be Mindful of Ozone Action Days
As temperatures rise, so do the number of Ozone Action Days. Declared by the North Central Texas Council of Governments, these are the days when high ozone levels can cause serious health problems, and inhaling ground-level ozone is especially dangerous for people who have asthma or respiratory problems.

Recycling Blue Bag Giveaways Scheduled for June
Public Services staff will be at the Richardson Public Library, 900 Civic Center Dr., and Huffhines Park, 300 N. Plano Rd. (along Plano Road, in the park), on select dates in June to spread the word about the benefits of recycling.
