RICHARDSON – Staff from the Richardson Parks and Recreation Department hosted a “Brown Bag Thanksgiving” in the parking lot of Methodist Medical Plaza 1.
More than 50 seniors registered for the drive-thru event.
“Being able provide seniors with hot meal they can enjoy this Thanksgiving means the world to us,” said Lori Smeby, Director of Parks and Recreation.
A total of 113 Thanksgiving-themed meals were prepared by the cafeteria staff at Methodist. The meals included turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls and a slice of pie.
