New shelves for the Richardson Public Library arrived this week as renovation work on the Arapaho Road facility heads into its final phase. Crews are currently assembling the bookshelves on the top floor.

Ongoing work taking place throughout the building includes mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; ceilings; finishes and permanent fixtures. Crews are also working on the library’s interior stairways as spaces take shape.

The renovations are part of the voter-approved 2021 Bond Program, with a grand re-opening expected in early fall.
