As part of the Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program, the public is invited to donate kid-friendly snacks for the “Healthy Kids Snack Drive” now through July 28. Benefiting families served by Network of Community Ministries, the snack drive is organized by high school interns participating in the fifth annual Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program.
Suggested snack items include fruit cups, cereal cups, oatmeal cups, apple sauce, macaroni and cheese cups, soup cups and pasta cups. The items will be distributed at the Richardson ISD “Backpack Bash” on July 30 at Richardson High School and Aug. 6 at Lake Highlands High School. Network of Community Ministries will donate any leftover items to area families.
