City Aquatics staff this week announced that the Heights Family Aquatics Center will remain closed due to lifeguard shortages. The City is still working to hire additional lifeguards and has offered incentives to attract applicants in an ongoing effort to add aquatic services this summer, regular updates to be provided as plans become better known.
Adequate lifeguards have been recruited to safely allow the operation of Richardson’s four neighborhood pools—Canyon Creek, Cottonwood, Glenville and Terrace—six days per week. Morning and evening swim lessons will also continue at the neighborhood pools as scheduled.
Lifeguard positions start at $13.50/hour. Lifeguard applications are being accepted online at www.cor.ner/jobs for applicants with open availability for weekend shifts.
