RICHARDSON – Richardson’s wildflowers which were planted last October are starting to bloom.

Parks and Recreation Department staff expect the mix of red corn poppy, corn flower and rocket larkspur to be in full bloom later this month. They planted wildflower seeds in traffic medians, trails, and parks in Richardson.

The wildflowers have been planted around the community since 1990 as part of the City’s annual wildflower planting program.

Some of the best locations in the city for wildflower photo opps are usually near Richardson City Hall, the Richardson Public Library and at several community parks.
