RICHARDSON – Over the last several weeks, people around the community have been transforming ordinary rocks into bright and colorful works of art, as part of the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival Community Rock Garden.
Staff collected close to 300 rocks and installed them just outside Richardson City Hall, near the water fountain. People are invited to stop by and see the amazing work that was created by several community members.
“We had participants from all over the community, from Girls Scout Troops and Junior High Schools to Richardson residents. The garden represents the community and what we stand for,” said Dianna Lawrence, Community Events Manager.
People will also be able to participate in a community garden scavenger hunt that will soon be available on the Wildflower website. Visitors can print out a map of the rocks or pick one up at Richardson Public Library to explore the garden.
The rock garden will be available for all to enjoy during the month of May.
