The Network of Community Ministries has helped more than 320 residents displaced the Oct. 20 tornado that hit part of the Richardson community.

Sixty of those individuals were placed in permanent homes, while 60 others were placed in temporary housing. The organization is currently looking to match a small group of individuals with housing needs.

“It has really been just overwhelming and heartwarming to see everyone come together and to be able to support our community,” said Cindy Shafer, CEO of the Network of Community Ministries.

The Network is searching for more volunteers to help sort donated clothing and can goods. Right now, there is a need for outerwear that includes coats, boots and scarfs.
