City Council Begins Goal-setting Process

The City Council began its biennial goal-setting process this week.

No City Council Meeting Sept. 6

he City Council will not meet Monday, Sept. 6 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The City Council next meets Monday, Sept. 13, beginning at 6 p.m. with a work session followed by a meeting at 7 p.m.

DART Board of Directors Approves Bus Network Redesign Plan

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Board of Directors has unanimously approved the DARTzoom Final Bus Network Plan, which includes a complete redesign of DART’s bus network. The redesigned network goes into effect Jan. 24, 2022, with the goal of providing greater frequency, longer service hours and improved access to destinations.

“A Place of Peace: Using Art as a Window to the Soul” is a new art exhibition on display at the Eisemann Center. The pieces of art were created by young adults on the autism spectrum from the University of Texas at Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders.
