“The Hairy Ape” Opens Oct. 13 at The Core Theatre

The Core Theatre is hosting a production of Eugene O’Neill’s “The Hairy Ape: A Comedy of Ancient and Modern Life in Eight Scenes,” Oct. 13-Nov. 6.

Shrektastic Movie Marathon Oct. 11

All ages are invited to spend part of the school holiday at the Library Monday, Oct. 11 for a Shrek double feature from 1-5 p.m. The fun takes place in the Basement Program Room and includes snacks and a take-home craft.

Free Instruction in Audacity Oct. 15

Richardson residents ages 16 and up are invited to learn how to record and edit multi-track audio with Audacity Friday, Oct. 15 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Basement Training Room.

UT Dallas Student Ambassadors Clean Up Near Cottonwood Creek

Thirty student ambassadors from UT Dallas beautified an area along Floyd Road near Cottonwood Creek recently, collecting 14 bags of trash. The effort was part of the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup Program, which provides guidance and supplies to area groups wishing to help keep the city clean and prevent trash from blowing into waterways.

DRUG TAKE BACK EVENT Set for OCT. 23

The Richardson Police Department is once again participating in the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) semiannual National Prescription Drug Take Back event. The next event is Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Police Substation, 2003 E. Renner Rd. Please note: the event could end early if capacity is reached before 2 p.m.
