Toadies/Neon Trees Complete Wildflower! Festival Lineup

Community Events staff have announced the addition of Toadies and Neon Trees to the lineup for Richardson’s 2022 Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival, taking place May 20-22 at Galatyn Park Urban Center. Both bands will appear Saturday, May 21 on the Methodist Richardson Amphitheatre Stage.

Two-Mile Bike Lane Installation Underway

nstallation work began this week on new bike lanes along Spring Valley Road between Grove Road and Jupiter Road. The new lanes will bring the total miles of bike lanes in Richardson to more than 25, on 14 different streets.

Boundary Commission Public Hearing March 22

The City’s Council District Boundary Commission will hold a public hearing regarding City Council district boundary adjustment options Tuesday, March 22 as part of the Commission’s regular meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

Supply Drive Continues Through April 30

The Spring Supply Drive hosted by the City of Richardson, Network of Community Ministries and Richardson ISD is underway, collecting donations to help restock Network supply shelves that serve those in need in the community.

For the third year in a row, Richardson has been named a “Best City to Live in America” by Niche, a Pennsylvania-based company that analyzes public data and user reviews to create community rankings based on factors such as affordability, local housing market, neighborhood diversity, area public schools, walkability and more.

Utility Work May Close Lane on Renner near US 75

The left lane of westbound Renner Road between US 75 and Renner Parkway may be closed to traffic from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for repair work on a manhole cover. The work is expected to be complete by mid-April.

Westbound Spring Valley Road at Weatherred Impacted by Pavement Work

Due to pavement repair work, the right lane of westbound Spring Valley Road at Weatherred Drive may be closed to traffic, and Weatherred Drive just north of Spring Valley may be narrowed to traffic, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
