City Hall Annex Now Open

The Temporary City Hall Annex opened this week, located at 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd. Suite 550, two doors down from the entrance to Temporary City Hall.

Council Updated on 2021 Bond-Funded Parks Projects 

Parks staff provided an update at Monday’s City Council work session on seven 2021 Bond-funded Parks and Recreation projects, including two new parks, five playground renovations and the Interurban property.

New Breckinridge Playground Opens 

The new Breckinridge Park playground opened this week, in a new location and with brand-new, bright-colored equipment thanks to funds from the 2021 Bond Program.

New Video Helps Support Animal Shelter

This week was Animal Shelter Week, and the Shelter is currently at capacity and needs help getting the word out about adoptions, fostering, volunteering and donating.

Veterans Day Celebrated Early at Senior Center

The Richardson Senior Center held a Veterans Day Celebration this week, complete with a color guard and flag fold presented by American Legion Post 321, a performance by local tap group Class Act, and a temporary memorial honoring fallen, missing and imprisoned veterans.

“Fill the Boot” this Month 

You might see Richardson Fire Department (RFD) firefighters at different intersections throughout the city this month holding large boots, as they are collecting donations for the annual “Fill the Boot” campaign that benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), an organization that the International Association of Firefighters has been helping since 1954.
