The story of flying cars stretches from the early 1900s to the present. Dr. Vernon Porter will sort out some of the mystery of reality vs. fiction and give “nebulous instructions and warnings” on building your own version of a flying car. Photos of his own construction will be presented.

Attendees are welcome to bring lunch to enjoy during the presentation. For adults and teens.

Join author and historian Dr. Michael Waters as he brings the history of the Civil Rights Movement to life in this presentation about a family pilgrimage across the American South of the 1950s and 1960s. See artifacts and hear about the people, places, and events featured in Dr. Waters’ historical fiction picture book, “Liberty’s Civil Rights Road Trip.” Children will enjoy crafts and activities designed to enhance their understanding of this pivotal historical era.
