Take advantage of a free Bollywood Fitness Class being offered by Richardson Parks & Recreation. If you’re taking part in the It’s Time Texas Community Challenge, you’ll earn 100 points for a group activity and 100 points for “checking in” at a healthy destination!

Richardson’s 150th: Write a Love Note to Richardson Beginning Feb. 1
As part of our City’s 150th celebration, the community is invited to write a “love note” to Richardson. Stop by a participating City facility and write down your favorite memory or blessing that has come from being a part of such a wonderful and unique community. Notes can be heartfelt or funny, as long as they are your memories of why you love Richardson! Heart-shaped paper will be provided for your note, and all notes will be part of a display at the citywide celebration June 24. (Please make sure all notes are family-friendly in nature.)

Note paper will be available Feb. 1. Participating facilities include:

The African American Museum, located in Dallas’ Fair Park, is the only museum of its kind in the Southwest devoted to the preservation and display of African American artistic, cultural and historical materials. It has one of the largest African American folk art collections in the U.S.

The work of several artists featured in the book “Art as Social Practice: Technologies for Change” is on display, spanning collaborative image-making, immersive experiences, telematic art, time machines, artificial intelligence and physical computing. The works reveal how the artists collaborate with participants and communities, finding ways to expand, transform, reimagine and create new platforms for meaningful exchange in both physical and virtual spaces.
