RICHARDSON – Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept. 15 – Oct. 15 and the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is preparing to launch several virtual events for both its campus community and residents of Richardson.

The month-long event celebrates and recognizes the different Hispanic and Latino cultures represented in the United States and the contributions that have been made.

“Although we can’t physically be in the same room together or see live dances in person, I think we’ve done a great job of bringing what we do on campus to a virtual setting. I think everyone who has been to our programs before, the same type of quality will be there,” said Adrienne Watson, Cultural Programs Coordinator at the Multicultural Center at UT Dallas.

The Multicultural Center will offer its campus community a chance to learn about different cultures through online dance, film, games and panel discussions. The Richardson community is invited to participate in two virtual live events “Achieving the Dream” on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and “Mas Fuerto Contigo/Stronger With You” on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m., both taking place on Facebook and YouTube.
