“It’s in your best interest to take your time, assess your damage first, maybe work with your insurance company to see what you have coverage for, what’s not covered and then at that point, once you have that figured out start talking to contractors that are verified through the Better Business Bureau. You can also check out a list of verified contractors on Richardson’s website,” said Brent Tignor, building official with the Building Inspection Department for the City of Richardson.
