Storm cleanup continues in Richardson after a severe storm recently hit the community with heavy rain and strong winds that left many homes and businesses without power.

Crews with the City’s Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) are now working together with Richardson’s Streets Division.  Crews are able to go along BABIC trucks to provide additional capacity for debris.  Residential trash collection and residential recycling collection is operating as usual.

“Our crews have been out non-stop. We have been out Monday, Tuesday and today working extended hours in the southwestern area of the city. Debris is very heavy. We are certainly asking for folks to be very patient and we are very appreciative of that,” said Travis Switzer, assistant director, public services

Residents are asked to continue calling for service at either 972-744-4111, or by downloading the free MyRichardson App on a smart phone or visiting www.cor.net/BABIC
