Area high school juniors still have time to apply for the annual Richardson Mayor’s Summer Internship Program (RMSIP). Now in its sixth year, the program enables incoming high school seniors to receive eight weeks of paid summer employment at a local business, nonprofit or government agency and benefit from valuable job interview instruction and workforce readiness training. Student applications will be accepted through March 22; employers have until April 17 to sign up.

A great opportunity to learn more about the program takes place Sunday morning, March 11, when local iHeartMedia radio stations will broadcast an interview about the program conducted earlier this week with Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker. The interview will be broadcast around 6-6:30 a.m. on the following FM stations:

  • “Star 102.1” KDGE (@ 6 a.m.)
  • “102.9 Now” KDMX  (@ 6 a.m.)
  • “Lone Star 92.5” KZPS (@ 6 a.m.)
  • 106.1 “Kiss FM” KHKS  (@ 6:15 a.m.)
  • 97.1 “The Freak” KEGL (@ 6:30 a.m.)

The interview will also be broadcast at 10 a.m. Sunday on Talk Radio 1190 AM KFXR.
