State parks all across Texas are offering numerous free events this summer, including the following taking place this weekend that are about an hour’s drive (or less) from Richardson (all are free with park admission, which varies from $4-$5 per person age 13 and up):
“Craters and Constellations”
Eisenhower State Park, 50 Park Rd. 20, Denison

9-10 p.m.

“Sensational Snakes” Outdoor Presentation
Lake Tawakoni State Park, 10822 FM 2475, Wills Point

2-2:30 p.m.

“Early Bird Gets the Worm”
