As sanding trucks were out last week to treat icy area roads and overpasses, City crews have been busy this week cleaning up the sand left behind. The cleanup will continue for the next few weeks. Trucks may be seen passing through some areas more than once, since it often takes a couple passes to make sure that everything is swept up.
The sand should be cleared by the end of the month.
