Sanding trucks were out last week to treat icy area roads and overpasses, and now it’s time to clean up the sand left behind.
Crews started the cleanup process Monday morning, and will be out for the next few weeks sweeping up the sand on all the treated areas.
If you see one of these trucks pass through your area more than once, it’s because it usually takes a couple of passes to make sure that everything is swept up.
The sand should be cleared by the end of the month.
