Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker declared the state of Richardson as “strong” Wednesday during the annual State of the City address, a free, open-to-the-public event held in the Eisemann Center’s Bank of America Theatre. The address, entitled “Making Richardson Home,” focused on what makes Richardson a great place to live and work. It highlighted many projects completed in the past year in spite of the pandemic, including infrastructure, the Senior Center renovation and development in the CORE District. Future plans for the city were also discussed, such as 2021 Bond projects, a large new water resource and the DART Silver Line. Video was included throughout the presentation, narrated by the City Council.

The address was made available for live online viewing and will soon be available to watch on-demand at www.cor.net/stateofthecity.
