More than 30 volunteers from the Texas Conservation Alliance recently cleaned up trash near Duck Creek, filling 20 bags, even in the rain! The cleanup was part of the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup Program (CCECP).
The Health Department sponsors CCECP, providing guidance and supplies to groups wanting to help keep the city clean and prevent trash from blowing into waterways. Supplies provided include plastic gloves, tongs and trash bags, and the City picks up the bags, if needed, when the event is finished. Any group of any size is welcome to participate.
