Employees of the local offices of Fujitsu joined together with a City Parks and Recreation crew today in clearing invasive ligustrum trees from the southeast section of the Spring Creek Nature Area. The work helps in the re-establishment of native prairie grasses and other native plants. While City staff operated heavy equipment, the Fujitsu volunteers helped by hand-cutting the trees and dragging branches.
This is the third year for Fujitsu employees to clear invasive trees in the Spring Creek Nature Area and part of the City’s Community & Corporate Environmental Cleanup Program, one of numerous volunteer opportunities offered by the City for individuals and businesses.
