The bridge will feature two arches; the north side arch is scheduled for installation July 16-19. Each will be about 400 feet long and 80 feet above the roadway at the highest point. They will also feature white and blue accent lighting to help the bridge serve as a gateway and visual branding for the city for both rail passengers and drivers on US 75.
For safety reasons, Silver Line trains cannot operate beneath the construction zone while cranes and arch segments are lifted into place. Overnight DART rail service will be suspended between Plano’s Shiloh Road Station and the UTD Station on the nights of June 5-7. To accommodate passengers during the closures, DART will provide bus service between Shiloh Road Station, 12th Street Station, CityLine/Bush Station, and UTD Station.
